Slipping Slowly

I slip slowly
Down the brink
My suspicion like stone
My heart like ice

Suspicion and paranoia
Lash out all the time
Perhaps it makes me
That much harder to love

I hope you'll try
Because I'm losing sight
Of the bright light ahead
Losing sight of hope
