In Darkness We Fall

Some believe that the world
is not really a world at all
They believe that the world
is heaven and hell

I belive that the world
is really a world
And that we were placed here
To bring light to us all

And so, in my quest
I brought out the best
In my young love
Her name i shall not speak

I taught her of goodness
I taught her of chasity
Yet listen she did not
For to Darkness she did fall

She ran away from me
Deep into the night
Straight into a ravine
And there she did die

She died right there
and fell from my life
She fell to the Earth
and rose to the Stars

Fell she did,
though I shall not know
To heaven or hell,
or if even those

My love was my example,
though she went bad
She shows how we all,
can be good or bad

So of this i can say
only two things
She was never mine
though i will be hers
