And so once more
My world changes
Topsy turvy
My life has gone

I tried to help
A friend of mine
He was in love
And so was I

I help him
to see his love
and mine
But she is his

Yet my efforts
at matchmaker
were unsuccessful
I have failed

They have been punished
Yet I have not
I feel guilty
For their actions

If only I could
Open the eyes of those
Who cannot see
Their true love

Then they'll see
And then perhaps
They would see
It's for the best

Love should not
Be denied
It should be treasured
Kept for all time

Yet there are those
Who say we cannot
We're too young they say
They say it's not right

I say we're not
too young for love
Depends on the person
It really does

I am ready
These two are ready
Let us being
to live our lives

For we are mature
We are careful
Let us begin
Begin to love
