Endless Cycle

Back and forth, side to side
Swirling ever towards the bottom
Can't get off, lord stop this ride
Never want to be here again

Now it's over, climb back up
Only to begin all over again?
No, not this time, this time it ends
There'll be no fall into darkness

This time the cycle is broken
Right here, the cycle shall end
I won't twist and I won't turn
For I know, in the end, what I want

It's time for me to show
How serious I've become
How devoted I am now
How far I'm willing to go

Whether we go on or not
It won't be like it was before
No, not just I will have changed
But everything around me as well

Presley was right all along
We can't go on with suspicious minds
So time to throw caution to the wind
Set things right deep inside

I've always known that you're the one
I just lost sight of it, too many times
There's been so much loss and so much pain
So much that I've kept deep inside

Time for it all to come out
It's time for me to show
How serious I've become
How far I'm willing to go

We stand at a fork in the roads
No going back to what we once had
Ahead lies but three paths for me
Left or right or dead ahead

Dead ahead lies pain, lies apart
Perhaps no destination at the end
It forks, it weaves, it winds
Places where no two can go

To left and right lie our trials
In my place and in yours
And through a veil of shattered dreams
Perhaps we can forge love once more

I haven't always been perfect
And I see what's caused my fall
I know it now, I could give it name
But I doubt I've conquered it all

So now, let us look for solutions
Rather than throwing all we had aside
Choose the path, left or right
I shall follow you where ever you will go

The cycle is broken
It shall not repeat
If we do this once more
It will be done right
And if we do not
If love is dead and gone
Then at least know this
In the end, I figured it out

I love you, you're my Goddess
The revolving aspect of my life
Sometimes taken for granted
Sometimes not treated right
There have been pains, problems
I haven't handled them well
All I ask is a chance to repent
And do this right from the start

Whatever your decision, my mind is made
To follow you into shadow and unknown
Barring your forbiddance, my Goddess
I would follow you and set things right again.
