Something missing here
Last time I came without
No toothbrush
no toothpaste
No money
no bathing suit

I sat right here
seashore
Gazing out upon the waves
Gazing out
sitting alone
Cold wind chills to the bone

Lying down
Facing down
Pen scratching
Utter nonsense

Looked around me
Something's missing
Though about my toothbrush
And where it is now

Then looked in the sky
And realized with a start
The sun had disappeared
And all around was dark

The toothbrush doesn't matter
Nor money nor bathing suit
All that was really missing
Was my sweet sunshine

And now
standing in the light
I look back upon my days
Remember the missing toothbrush
Still missing even today

But looking up in the sky
I see the sun is shining
My sweet sunshine is here
Until the final sundown
