Last night
the world changed
A simple word
was spoken by her

A yes it was
Happy was I
All past love forgotten
All new love treasured

I am a new person
happier, brighter
motivated, euphoric
I am a new person

Will it last
Or will she run
I hope the former
Never the latter

Now I look back
On previous loves
Sad they didn't work
Glad for the new

My heart is
Now unbroken
I believe I can
Finally love again
