So what do I say
What do I do
When those that I love
Cannot be told the truth

Why do I try
When no one believes
The truth that I bring
The song that I sing

And when my love fails
I must stand strong
Pretend it's alright
When really it's not

For I cannot bear to see you
You and you, two vees
And now I finally see
The truth which must be

I cannot save the world
Nor shape it as I want
I can only try and
Save the ones I love

So I'll stay here and try
To fake it's all okay
When deep down inside
I'm dying piece by piece
