Proposed Love

Three words
Eight letters
How hard it is to say
I love you

It seems like ages have passed
Since I first saw you
The beauty within you
Was the first thing I saw

I loved you then
I still do now
For all that you are
Each and every bit

Beauty and intellegence
Such a good mix
Caring yet strong
Brilliant yet modest

There are those that
I admire within you
For days and weeks
I think only of you

Maybe I'm not pretty
Maybe I'm shy
But I still love
And I still care

I know I love you
I know I care for you
I know I'd live for you
But do you love me?

Such a simple question
Yet so ambiguous
What is love?
How do we know...

For me it was simple
I think love is romantic
It is the union of two people
Who care deeply about each other

For love is not lust
Love is love
And if there is one thing
That I know

It is that
I do love you so
For all of time
In all the places of this world
