Not Meant To Be

Many moons have passed
Since that lonely night
On a cold winter's night
Yet nothing has changed

Oh, I've evolved
I consider myself better
Than I was then
But still, I'm alone

Who is the one
My life-long companion
If you know, Lord
Why not tell me

Whom must I seek
How can I tell
Do my dreams reveal
The secret of the one

In my dream, I see
You and I, walking
Hand in hand, lovers
Plain as can be

But are you the one
I doubt it for
You and I, so different
You cannot be

And seperated by distance
Neither can you be
I want to see my love
Each and every day

No, none of them can be
And so, the future will bring
The one, who I can see
IS the one whos meant to be
