Why Why Why

Raindrops on my pane
Raindrops on my soul
Tears upon my face
Because of love, tonight

Love caused by what
I know it not
Yet I do love thee
And miss thee as well

Miss the nights alone
Holding each other tight
Miss that special something
We had each night

Miss the joys
Of simply being
Right beside you
Holding you tight

Miss the laughter
The games, the fun
All with you
Now, lost

Do you even know
How much you meant
To me and how happy
I was, with you

All of it gone
Upon a summers breeze
Do I mean so little
When you mean so much

I still remember
All the signs
Of the future
Yet I did nothing

Perhaps, with time
We could have been good
But I cannot read minds
And cannot know your needs

A dark and rainy eve
Puts me in this mood
Regretting my mistake
Whatever it may be

Life must go on
But not perfection
No, never perfect
Without you, you see

Then nights alone
In each others arms
Laughing and crying together
I miss it all

I miss so much
And when I see
Some reminder, and I
Cannot see

For tears cloud my eyes
Like raindrops, tonight
I love you, can't you see
Yet we can never be
