On The Degeneration of Today's Youth

or, as I like to call it...

On Prostitots

Right, so as usual, this musing is based on a recent experiance of mine which happened last night on my way home from school...

Pat and I were on the bus going home. We'd stayed late to see Jaz off as she'd missed her bus and we then walked up to the french cegep to take the next bus going to Portage where we could take a 43/42 home. We ended up taking the 37 which, as luck would have it, was boarded by a group of about 7 girls, aged 12-14. General name for these girls is "prostitot" which is a word I love. Anyways, so two of these girls were on the bus sitting in front of us and they kept turning around to look at us and used their mirror to look at us. Pat's the one who noticed, I doubt I would have. Later, after we got off the bus, one of them came up to us and asked us if we were doing anything later that night. We said we were going to home and goign to sleep. Afterwards we decided that they were goign off to Starcite to see a movie and would have probably asked us to go with. (insert rude comments about them groping us in the dark and Pat being my gay lover).

Pat made a big joke out of it and when I expressed my disgust said I was overreacting. Maybe I am, but it's still just an awful idea that kids so young can be so sluttish. It's disturbing. I mean, I can see people my age being like that but at 12, kids should not be dressing like that. And what's worse is that they were (jokingly or not) hitting on kids our age. I'm almost 18 and Pat's 20! Hello almost a decade age difference.

Stupid media, giving kids role models which encourage them to dress like sluts. And stupid school system which is slowly converting all of our schools to 7-11 schools with no seperation between 7th graders and 11th graders.
